What is The Hollow Glow???

The Hollow Glow is a band that thrives on writing tight, well crafted songs with clear, memorable hooks and then performing them with the intensity of extreme possession. The music is something familiar, yet at the same time, something new and different altogether; drawing influence from bands like: A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Muse, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, Radiohead and well...Ra (no getting around that one.)

The band is the brainchild of Ben Carroll (Vocals/Guitar) who is known for his role as a member of the Universal recording act Ra and as a cutting edge instrumental recording artist.

In 2010 The Hollow Glow self-released two full length albums “Out of the Darkness”Out of the Darkness (released 05/11/10) & “Into the Light” (released 12/21/10.) Upon it's release iTunes listed “Into the Light” right on the homepage for “Rock” in the “New and Noteworthy” section for 4 weeks straight. Not a bad feat a brand new band that is completely independent and is still virtually an unknown within the industry...Into The Lightand for a record that was recorded in a bedroom with only two microphones. The Hollow Glow have also been getting sporadic radio airplay across the country and have several songs coming up in a handful of indie movies this year.

2011 is proving to be a great year for The Hollow Glow as the band emerges on the scene all dressed up and ready to kill.

Ben Carroll is a well-known Universal recording artist and musician. His band Ra (Universal/SMR) has released 5 records over the past 8 years with combined sales reaching over a half million units. Ra has had multiple charting radio singles, songs used in multiple movies, television and sporting events, has played with the biggest bands: Korn, Godsmack, Disturbed, Seether, Alice in Chains, and the Deftones, to name but a few, and has worked with the industry's top producers and engineers. The ESP & Mesa/Boogie endorsed guitarist has also just released his first instrumental solo album, "A Dream Between Two Fires" and is working on his first guitar instructional book, due out in late 2010 through Vendera Publishing.
